go ahead - grab a handful
Do you often find yourself standing around the water cooler at work with nothing to talk about to while some douche recounts things no one is interested in? Have you ever struggled to come up with something interesting to say to that cutie who sits next to you in lecture? Do you mindlessly surf the internet until 2am looking for cool new tunes, movie trailers, news stories or stuff to buy that you don't even remotely need? If you answered yes to any of these then welcome to The Daily Handful, where you can grab a handful of interesting things to discuss with your friends, colleagues, family, cell mates etc.

Pandora Jam

By Adam at 1:00 PM

A few weeks ago I made the switch from PC to Mac and I've been more than impressed with Apple's Macbook. I'm not gonna go into all the cool apps available for the Mac--anyone with 5 minutes and Google can sort that one out for themselves--but I did want to point out one program that has changed the way I listen to music: Pandora Jam. Hopefully you are familiar with Pandora.com and the Music Genome project (if not click here).

Enter PandoraJam for the Mac. The first great feature is that it lets Pandora play right from your desktop so you don't need an internet browser open taking up desktop space. More importantly, Pandora Jam records the songs you are listening to with the click of a button, saving them as mp3's and importing them into your iTunes fully tagged with artist, album, and artwork. With the free version you need to click record every 5 or 6 songs, but if you want to pay $12 for the licensed version, you just have to click it once. This handy little app also works with Growl and Last.fm scrobbling.
