go ahead - grab a handful
Do you often find yourself standing around the water cooler at work with nothing to talk about to while some douche recounts things no one is interested in? Have you ever struggled to come up with something interesting to say to that cutie who sits next to you in lecture? Do you mindlessly surf the internet until 2am looking for cool new tunes, movie trailers, news stories or stuff to buy that you don't even remotely need? If you answered yes to any of these then welcome to The Daily Handful, where you can grab a handful of interesting things to discuss with your friends, colleagues, family, cell mates etc.

Music Drop 10/28

Filed Under (,) By Adam at 4:50 AM

Yet another music drop. This time around we've got some cover tracks from three of the music blog scene's favorite artists: Ryan Adams, The Kooks, & Moby.

Ryan Adam's cover of "Wonderwall" by Oasis is a quiet, mellow, version of the British rockers' most well known song. While the track loses some of its arena sing-along quality, this echoing, acoustic cover is top notch.

Speaking of British rockers--it seems the Kooks fresh off their cover of MGMT's "The Kids," have done it again. This time the boys from across the pond tackled one of my newest favorite songs "Young Folks" by Peter Bjorn and John. The Kooks added their own spin to the song and gave it a feel reminiscent of Elvis Costello.

Finally we've got a Moby cover of Radiohead's "Creep." It's a live track so you have to sit through a little crowd noise in the beginning but it's worth it. I'm not that big on Moby, but this track will definitely have me giving him a fresh listen.

Tunes:
Ryan Adams - Wonderwall (Oasis over)
The Kooks - Young Folks (Peter Bjorn and John cover)
Moby - Creep (Radiohead cover)
